A Royal Breakfast

Last night, during a slow moment at work, I was playing around with the dining reservation program, and came across a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table.  I flipped out, being that it's the most coveted reservation, and is basically impossible to get past the 180 days out.  I tried to get it right away, and before I knew it, it was gone.  I had already texted my roommates when I ran to get my credit card, and had to let them know it fell through, I felt awful!
I continued to play with it throughout the night, hoping it would come back up...and it did!  I booked it right away, and even had to fork over more than $200 to pay for the meal in advance!  Boy was it worth it!  My roommates were so excited, as this was on everybody's big bucket list, and a rare thing to come by.
We got up bright and early, got pretty, and headed to Magic Kingdom before it opened, to get to our 8:05AM reservation.  The Christmas decorations were up and park was almost totally empty!  It was so beautiful!

As we headed into the castle, we got to meet Cinderella!  Then, it was up the twisted stairs to the dining room!  When we were seated, we were brought some pastries, a small menu with a handful of appetizing options, and were told the princesses would be right around.  And sure enough, before our meals even came, they began visiting with us one by one!

Breakfast flew by, and Alyssa and I headed out into the Magic Kingdom to see some other familiar faces.

So even though I have to head to work this afternoon, I can't imagine a day that started off this awesome could possibly go wrong!

Mama & Papa & Food & Wine

My Parents are here, my parents are here!!!
I've seriously missed my parents so much, and now they are finally here to visit! I, unfortunately, was unable to get any days off while they are here.  So, we are spending our evenings together.  We went to the movies last night.  We went to the Fork & Screen AMC at Downtown Disney, to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.  It was so cute!
Tonight, for the first time, we all hit up the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival!  It was so great!  We tried so many things from so many different countries.  My favorite part however, was getting spend a whole afternoon and evening with two of my favorite people in the world!  We had so much fun together, so much so, that I think I've even convinced them to come again at the end of the month!

They will be leaving tomorrow morning, and are going to stop by to see me on my break at work before they go.
I'm already dreading having to say goodbye!

Be Our Guest!

After a full 180 days of waiting, the day of our Be Our Guest finally arrived!  I rushed home from work, and got ready for the evening.  It was super rainy and humid, so I wasted a ton of time and energy doing my hair!  We headed to Magic Kingdom early, to stop in to see the Mouse in some nice clothes for once!

As we walked down Main Street, back towards New Fantasyland and Be Our Guest, it started to drizzle, but there was no raining on our parade!

We arrived at Beast's castle, early for our reservation.  However, we checked in anyway, and were able to sit down really quickly.  When we stepped into the castle, it quite literally took my breath away.  The detailing of the ballroom really hit the nail on the head, we felt like we were stepping into the movie.  Unlike anything I've ever experienced.

All throughout dinner, I was constantly catching myself, just zoning out, staring at my surroundings.  However, the food was absolutely phenomenal.  I had pan-seared salmon, over leek fondue and saffron crushed potatoes.  Without a doubt, the best meal I've ever had at Disney.
As we wrapped up our meal, our waiter brought us out the grey stuff!  Even if we did have to fib a little about birthdays, I'm so glad we got to try it, he even brought me my own little plate of it!  Really tasty, and the perfect little sample.  A very sweet way to top off a dinner at such a magical place!
After dinner, we ventured into the West Wing, to see the other theming done in the restaurant.  It was very dark, with some thunder in the background, with plenty of touches tying in to the movie, yet another room where you feel like you've ventured into their world.
As we made our way to the exit, we had one more pit stop.  What's a visit to a castle without stopping in for a moment with the master of the house?!
I made my way out of the Magic Kingdom, (and made friends with a security guard, Jamie), I couldn't believe it was over!  I already feel like I need to be back in there, 180 days is far too long!  There may not have been this...
...but I've definitely found my favorite place in Disney!
